Steven MacPhail
Tube Council (NA) President
In addition to serving on our board, Steven serves President of Sales & Marketing at Montebello Packaging, www.montebellopkg.com. He has held various senior executive roles in manufacturing and retail. His expertise covers the industries of Apparel, Packaging, and Laboratory sampling supplies. During his various roles, he successfully negotiated several distribution & licensing agreements, implemented several supply chain programs improving the flow of goods to customers. His expertise is in strategic sales coupled with Operational alignment to accelerate top-line growth and profits. A very energetic and upbeat individual Interested in all kinds of sports and music. Has been an active member of Tube Council executive for over 6 years. Has held senior executive roles in two North American Tube manufacturers.
Thomas Lefevre
Tube Council (NA) Vice President
Thom is presently CEO of Brueckner Group USA who represents all parts of the Breuckner Group in North America. He worked with PackSys Global AG, who supplies tubemaking and packing machines and is also a part of Brueckner Group, for 15 years and over 25 years in our industry. Prior to joining PackSys Global Thom was co-leader of the Management Buyout of Betts from Courtaulds Packaging. At Betts he was responsible for Business Development and at various times for tube-making operations in the USA, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, Russia, Poland, Indonesia, India and China. Thom was educated as a Chemical Engineer and has a MBA degree.
Scott Anderson

Scott Anderson is the Vice President of North American Healthcare Sales at Albea Group. With over 40 years of experience in the tube packaging industry, Scott began his career at American Can in Washington, NJ, and has since held a variety of roles in Sales and Sales Management. His extensive expertise spans both global and regional clients across the Oral Care, Pharma, Personal Care, and Beauty sectors. Scott is passionate about building strong relationships with customers and Albea colleagues, and thrives on collaborating with his sales team to develop strategies for launching new products and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Melanie Gaudun
Tube Council (NA) Director
Melanie is the Business Development and Marketing Manager at Viva Healthcare Packaging, where for the past seven years she has partnered with brands to bring innovative tube solutions to market. She leads Viva’s marketing and advertising initiatives, spearheading more than 35 award-winning packaging submissions in leading industry competitions. With experience spanning sales, project management, operations, and marketing, Melanie pairs strategic vision with hands-on execution — and a strong bias for action.
Before joining Viva, she held sales and project management roles with a Toronto-based contract manufacturer, excelled as a Sales Representative for the Maybelline Garnier division of L’Oréal, and drove regional and national cosmetics operations initiatives at Shoppers Drug Mart, supporting performance across 1,200+ stores.
Melanie holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. A natural storyteller and industry advocate, she is excited to help The Tube Council elevate the profile of tubes as a supremely convenient, functional, brand-building packaging solution with meaningful sustainability advancements across the market.
Fredrik Nilsson
Tube Council (NA) Director
Fredrik Nilsson currently serves as Industry Sales Director for Coesia’s Personal Care Segment in NA. As a part of that role, he oversees sales of several brands of packaging machinery in that space, but the Norden and Kalix’s tube filling machinery operation is exclusively under his responsibility for all applications in NA.
Prior to this, Fred has had held various positions within Sales and Management, but Norden has always consistently remained the largest part of his day-to-day work, dating back to his start in 1999.
Fred was born in Sweden, but currently works out of Coesia’s office in Covington, KY (Cincinnati). He holds an MBA in Marketing from Centenary College, NJ, and a 4-year degree from Robert Morris University, PA. He is married with two children, and has a strong passion for sports, community, and friends.
Todd Waxgiser
Tube Council (NA) Director
Todd serves as the Director of Sales, North America for the PackSys Global division of Brueckner Group USA, a global leader in advanced packaging machinery and solutions. Since joining the Brueckner Group in 2020 as a Regional Sales Manager, Todd has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s presence in North America. In recognition of his leadership and deep industry expertise, he was promoted to Director of Sales in 2023.
With over 30 years of experience in the packaging industry, Todd brings a wealth of knowledge to his role on the Board of Directors for the Tube Council North America. His career has been especially focused on packaging solutions for the Health and Beauty sector, where he has built a reputation for delivering innovative, customer-focused results.
